Leiden University and the Royal Academy of Art, Design, Music and Dance in The Hague (the Royal Conservatoire and the Royal Academy of Arts) founded the Academy of Creative and Performing Arts in December 2001. The Academy aims to bring the arts and academic disciplines together by creating a new programme that does justice to both elements.

LUC The Hague is excited about beginning a partnership with the Academy, not only to support its highly talented students in their pursuit of performance-excellence, but also as a way to further an educational and research agenda that recognizes performance as a vital medium of social and political expression.
